What is Plant-A-Row?
Plant-A-Row, also known as PAR, is an effort made by
local gardeners to share the bounty of their gardens with those who need food.
Last year, thousands of local families and individuals
were able to eat healthy, nutritious, locally grown produce thanks to local
gardeners like you.
This year, the need is still greater than ever. There are 11,000 people who access emergency
food monthly and they need your help.
Your extra produce makes a big difference to someone
struggling with hunger. So, please,
plant a row because no one should be hungry.
You can help make a difference!
By
participating in Plant-A-Row, you can help provide local families with the
healthy, nutritious
foods that are an important part of balanced meals and
healthy living!
Ways
that you can help include:
· Planting extra produce in your garden
· Donating your extra garden produce
· Helping to pick or “glean” produce
· Telling others about the PAR program
